Fresh from meeting the group at the Royal Highland Show, we were delighted to welcome the Young Agri Leader students from Castle Douglas High School to our Lockerbie headquarters.
The visit gave the students an opportunity to learn more about Robinsons and the different career paths available within the business.
This is the first of several visits we’ll be hosting as part of our partnership with the Young Agri Leaders programme.
The aim is to help bring classroom learning to life, giving students the chance to see how a business operates and explore the wide range of careers available within the industry.
Over the coming months, the group will return for further visits, including a trip to one of our live sites where they’ll be able to see their learning put into practice and gain a better understanding of how a project comes together from start to finish.

After an introduction to the company and an insight into the construction industry, the group toured our workshops and yard, seeing steelwork at various stages of production and learning more about the processes involved in manufacturing our buildings.
The students also visited our sister company, CWP Concrete, where they gained an understanding of another key part of the Robinsons Group.

Alongside the tours, the day included activities focused on health and safety and career development, helping students explore the wide range of opportunities available within the industry.
It was a pleasure to host the group and see such enthusiasm throughout the day.
We’d like to thank the students and staff from Castle Douglas High School for visiting us, and we look forward to seeing the Young Agri Leaders programme continue to inspire the next generation of talent in agriculture.
