Robinsons are looking to recruit a Structural Steel Fabricator to join our production department based at our premises in Warrington in the manufacture of a variety of bespoke fabrications and structural steelwork.
KEYDUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
The key duties and responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
Be able to read and interpret engineering drawings, sketches and work specifications.
Fabricating/Welding various steel components and steel structures.
Ensure all dimensions are checked, verified, recorded on dimensional reports and signed.
Perform visual examinations of completed welds for compliance prior to being examined by the QA Supervisor.
Working accurately and efficiently with a high attention to detail
Taking responsibility for time management and scheduling to make sure jobs are completed on time.
Hand weld steelwork using methods such as MIG and MAG.
Assist with measuring, marking and preparation of steelwork.
Clean and degrease parts to be welded using wire brushes, grinders, or solvents.
Safely operate equipment and hand tools daily.
Maintain the production area to ensure a safe, clean and tidy working area.
Comply with the company’s policies & procedures and Health & Safety regulations.
Work overtime when required.
Undertake additional duties as and when required.
PERSON SPECIFICATION
Previous experience of working in a similar role.
Understand Health & Safety within the workplace.
Ability to weld using one or two different methods.
Excellent communication and organisational skills.
MIG welding: 3 years (required)
Fabrication: 3 years (required)
