Robinsons are looking to recruit a Structural Steel Fabricator/ Welder to join our production department based at our premises in Lockerbie in the manufacture of a variety of bespoke fabrications and structural steelwork.
KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
As part of our production team, you’ll work on a wide variety of bespoke structural steel and fabrication projects.
Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
Reading and interpreting engineering drawings and specifications
Fabricating and welding structural steel components
MIG/MAG welding to a high standard
Measuring, marking, and preparing steelwork accurately
Inspecting and checking completed welds and dimensions
Using workshop equipment and hand tools safely and efficiently
Working collaboratively to ensure projects are completed on time
Maintaining a safe, clean, and organised work environment
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR:
We’re looking for reliable, motivated individuals who take pride in their work and want to be part of a growing business.
Essential:
Minimum 3 years’ MIG welding experience
Minimum 3 years’ fabrication experience
Ability to read engineering drawings
Good understanding of workplace Health & Safety
Desirable:
Experience working with structural steel
Good teamwork and communication skills
Positive attitude and strong work ethic
Flexibility to work overtime as and when required.
