Lockerbie based construction company, Robinsons, has taken time to reflect on what they have contributed to communities throughout Dumfries & Galloway this year, pledging to be even more involved with local charities and working within communities in 2020.

As well as sponsoring and attending various agricultural shows and exhibitions throughout the year, Robinsons have supported sports teams such as the Stewarty Sirens and Queen of the South. Recently,

the team sponsored Lockerbie Ice Rink and their curling competitions, attending the final to present the winners with their prizes.

Throughout 2019, Robinsons has been involved in supporting SP Energy in the running of Cash For Kids events, with team members coming together to fundraise and volunteer their time in aid of the Mission Christmas campaign – which raised an incredible £39,358.00 and helped 1175 children –  as well as taking part in earlier events such as the Superhero day. As their chosen charity partners, the team at Robinsons are incredibly excited to continue their support of Cash for Kids in the new year.

On top of supporting their chosen charity of the year, the team have also attended events such as the Maggie’s Noel Lunch as guests of the Scottish Association of Young Farmers Clubs (SAYFC) – which brought in an amazing £36,000 for the charity – and have contributed to RSABI, who provide support for people in Scottish Agriculture.

As part of their commitment to community engagement, the team at Robinsons have also taken time to become involved with local nurseries, schools and colleges in various ways. From providing a Kindle to Lockerbie academy to donating toys for outdoor play at local nurseries, the team have been working hard to inspire the younger generations to consider a career in the construction industry.

2019 has been a great success for Robinsons and giving back to the communities we work within across the UK, with the whole team very much excited for what next year will bring.
